Access Statement

Elm Grove Country House is accessed via our private drive from the village of St Florence (just off the A477) with the car park leading directly to the front door. There is plenty of room to exit and enter your car and to turn and park. 

We also have limited parking at the rear for access via the back door - please advise at the time of booking if you would like this space reserved. We are happy to assist with your arrival and carry luggage to your room.

The entrance has four 16cm (6.5inch) steps and one 18cm (7 inch) step with a hand rail to the right hand side of the steps. The front door is 104cm (41 inch) wide and the door from the porch into the large hallway is 91.5cm (36inch) wide.

Alternatively there is flat access at the rear of the property through a door which is 88cm (34.5inch) wide. There is a small rounded 1cm lip from the stone floor up to the carpeted floor in the hall once inside this door.

In the reception area your booking details can be confirmed and any special requests attended to. This may be done in the lounge or next to the hall table.

We have 2 ground floor en-suite bedrooms;

The larger of the two (no.10) is accessed off the main hall through an 88cm (34.5inch) wide door.  The room has a king size double bed & single bed and a large window with views over the garden. The room has tea and coffee making facilities, two easy chairs and a table, as well as normal bedroom furniture and TV. The en suite shower room, entered through an 69cm (27inch) doorway, has a large shower tray, 1200mm x 760mm with a 2 inch lip which is not wheelchair accessible. We do have a shower stool is available upon request and there is a hand rail in place on the wall to the side of the shower doors. Extra hand grips can be added in the shower.

The smaller of the two ground floor rooms (no.12) is accessed towards the rear of the hall through a 88cm (34.5inch) wide door. There is a king size double bed, a desk & chair with tea making facilities on top, 2 easy chairs and TV, as well as standard bedroom furniture. The en-suite shower room is accessed through a 69cm (27inch) doorway with a double shower which has a step of 20cm (8inches) to enter it. We are able to provide a step to allow easier access to this shower as well as hand grips.

Please note, this room is near the kitchen, but noise is kept to a minimum to avoid any disturbance.

The large guest lounge is accessed on the same level as these bedrooms through an 88cm (34.5inch) door.

Breakfast and dinner are served in the dining room & bar which is on the same level as these bedrooms through an 88cm (34.5inch) wide door. 

The breakfast menu can be provided in large print and we will be more than happy to go through it with you.

The garden is accessed through either the front or rear door. If access via the rear door there is a ramp available to access the concrete paths which cross the gardens.
