Wales Year of Legends

2017 is the Wales Year of Legends, and you are spoilt for choice in Pembrokeshire - the land of Myths & Legends!  We have everyone from poets and artists to kings, pirates and knights with links to our beautiful county.

One of the most legendary characters associated with the county is King Henry VII - the founder of the Tudor dynasty. Born in Pembroke Castle on January 28th, 1457 he was later smuggled to France from Tenby at the age of 14, before returning on August 7th, 1485, with his army and landing at Milford Haven ready to fight Richard III. Pembroke Castle is just 6 miles from Elm Grove and it is one of the areas top attractions, with events taking place throughout the year and guided tours on a daily basis - click here to find out more.

You can find out more about Pembrokeshire myths and legends by clicking through to the compendium, put together by local tour guides.
