History
Design and construction of Elm Grove started in the 1840’s and was completed in 1856. Over the last 150 years the house has been home to a range of owners including Sirs, Captains and Majors. During World War II the main house also became home, and school, to a number of child evacuees from London.
The Rees family bought Elm Grove in 1958 and since this time it has been run as a country house by 3 successive generations of the family. Currently in it’s 5th decade of welcoming guests to this beautiful location, the house has played host to a wide range guests from walking and painting parties, couples and business travellers to families and well-known personalities.
To those of you who we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming before, we look forward to seeing you again soon.
For those of you looking for a relaxing stay in a beautiful location the Rees family look forward to seeing you at Elm Grove Country House.
